SHOW DESCRIPTION

Set in a playful neo-Victorian world of worker bees, this inventive new production of The Importance of Being Earnest transforms Oscar Wilde's comedy into a thrilling feat of ensemble theatre.  Six actor musicians perform every role through breath-taking doublings and inventive performance theatrics.

Featuring original English parlour songs, handcrafted costumes, live music, and inventive stagecraft, no two performances are ever quite the same.

Created through rehearsals in London and an artistic residency in rural Normandy, the production embraces the spirit of European repertory theatre: artists living, creating, and touring together as one company.

Following its premier, the production embarks on an international tour of twelve countries and more than 150 performances, celebrating Wilde's wit with generosity, imagination, and infectious theatrical joy.
