Coming to the Gaiety Theatre in October 2026, Centre Stage Productions proudly present the smash-hit musical comedy Rock of Ages. This outrageously funny Broadway sensation is an unapologetically cheesy jukebox musical and a hilarious love letter to the glam rock era of the 1980s. Packed with iconic anthems from bands like Poison, Styx, Whitesnake and more, it’s loud, ridiculous, and enormous fun. 

Set on L.A.’s legendary Sunset Strip, Rock of Ages is packed with over 25 iconic rock anthems, including We Built This City, The Final Countdown, Here I Go Again, Can’t Fight This Feeling, I Wanna Rock, I Want To Know What Love Is, and many more. 

The year is 1987, and fabled West Hollywood club the Bourbon Room - a gritty but beloved rock club on the Sunset Strip - is fighting for survival. When bright-eyed young hopeful Sherrie, a small-town girl who wants to make it as an actress, arrives in town, she bumps into Drew, a busboy with dreams of rock and roll stardom. Love-struck Drew convinces the club owner to hire Sherrie, and the stage seems set for their romance. But when German developers threaten to tear down the Strip and arrogant rockstar Stacee Jaxx blows into town, dreams, romances and the future of the Bourbon Room are thrown into chaos. 

Rock of Ages is packed with outrageous characters, over-the-top comedy, and wall-to-wall rock anthems. It’s loud. It’s outrageous. It’s gloriously ridiculous. And it’s guaranteed to be the ultimate night of pure 80s rock nostalgia.

Age guidance 

• Age Guidance: PG Ages 14+ due to strong language, suggestive sexual dancing and innuendos, mature themes including references to sex, drinking, and a strip club setting. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult (18+)

Seating 

• Theatre style - All seats are allocated/reserved so please ensure you check your section/ row and seat numbers before taking your seats.
• Customer notice regarding Boxes: please note that for full stage productions, views of some parts of the stage (depending on which side of the auditorium you are seated) may be somewhat limited or restricted. This view restriction does not usually impact other performances.

Wheelchair/accessible bookings

Bars

• Please note, for this performance run our bars will be open for pre-show and interval service, offering a selection of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. For your convenience, plastic, reusable drinkware will be available should you wish to take your drink to your seat and enjoy at your leisure. Bars will remain closed during the show.

Ticket fee

• All ticket prices for live performances only are subject to a 5% booking fee, which will be applied at the point of sale to all purchases, whether made online or in person at our Box Office.
