SHOW DESCRIPTION
Steinbeck's own stage version of his classic novel tells the story of George Milton and Lennie Small, the fast-talking farm hand and the simple giant who accompanies him on a lift of casual labour in the California Agriculture Belt of the 1930s. They share a dream of a little place of their own, where Lennie can tend the rabbits and they can "live off the fat of the land". But can that dream survive the harsh realities of the Great Depression, where unstable employment, belligerent superiors, and Lennie's own alarming but unchecked strength are but a few of the obstacles they must overcome.
