SHOW DESCRIPTION
Join poetry legend Michael Rosen as he presents his new one-person show Getting Through It, formed of a double-bill of monologues, The Death of Eddie and Many Kinds of Love.
Exploring themes of grief and mortality, Michael recounts powerful and personal stories - from the death of his son from meningitis at the age of 18 and the immense emotions from the unexpected loss, to the 48 days he spent in intensive care after contracting COVID-19, facing his own mortality after being put into an induced coma and having a 50% chance of dying.
Both stories are told with Michael’s signature positivity, humour and poetry. Together, the two pieces are a testimony to the spirit of recovery.

"We are delighted to be the nominated charity for tonight’s performance as we know Michael Rosen has been through a profound bereavement himself. We would like to thank him and everyone that donates to our small charity as we continue to ensure that no-one grieves alone."
