SHOW DESCRIPTION

‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ at the Gaiety Theatre is set to be ‘more than spectacular’ as the Christine Wild Theatre School and Rachel Wild’s Performers Studio bring the beloved musical to life this November.

Based on the much-loved film, the production follows eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts and his children on a magical adventure in their ‘fantasmagorical’ flying car, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Joined by the delightful Truly Scrumptious, they must outwit the villainous Baron and Baroness Bomburst, who will stop at nothing to steal Chitty for themselves.

With a cast of over 175 talented students, a brilliant lineup of local principal performers, and the generous support of sponsors — Appleby for hair, makeup, and hired principal costumes, Westminster Car Restorations towards the iconic Chitty car and the Isle of Man Steam Packet for assistance with transport to and from the Island via their MCA Fund.

The schools are proud to present this beloved production, which promises to be truly scrumptious fun for the whole family!

Age guidance 

• Suitable for all. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult (18+) 

Seating 

• Seats are allocated/reserved so please ensure you check your section/ row and seat numbers before taking your seats.
• Customer notice regarding Boxes: please note that for full stage productions, views of some parts of the stage (depending on which side of the auditorium you are seated) may be somewhat limited or restricted. This view restriction does not usually impact other performances.

Wheelchair/accessible bookings

Bars

• Please note, throughout this run our bars will be open for pre-show and interval service, offering a selection of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. For your convenience, plastic, reusable drinkware will be available should you wish to take your drink to your seat and enjoy at your leisure. Bars will remain closed during the show.

Booking fee

• All ticket prices for live performances only are subject to a 5% booking fee, which will be applied at the point of sale to all purchases, whether made online or in person at our Box Office.
