Award-winning Frozen Light Theatre is coming to the Isle of Man for the first time, bringing a theatre experience specially created for audiences with profound and multiple learning disabilities and their companions.
The performances will take place in the Royal Hall on 23rd and 24th February, marking the first professional show made specifically for this audience to be programmed at VillaGaiety.
Frozen Light Theatre is known for creating sensory-rich, interactive performances that encourage audiences to engage with the story and performers, and set in whatever way feels most comfortable. The performances are designed to be welcoming, accessible and inclusive for all participants.
Frozen Light co-founder and co-artistic director Lucy Garland said, “We are excited to be touring The Ancient Oak of Baldor for the first time to the Isle of Man. The production transports audiences into a fantasy realm. We wanted to create a safe environment to enable audiences to explore grief, community and storytelling. It is a show for adult audiences with profound and multiple learning disabilities who are often underserved by the arts. We cannot wait to share this show, which has been over a year in the making, with audiences across the country.”
Tickets are priced at £10 per user, which includes an allowance for up to two companions. Audiences are limited to six people per performance (plus companions) to provide a more personal and immersive experience.
