I can remember the 'Manx Music Festival' being held in the Gaiety Theatre when I was 8 years old in 1945. I came first out of a class on 16 in the 'Piano solo under 11 class'. I gained 91 marks, I can remember the adjudicator sat in the first row of the dress circle and his name was Maurice Cole, I have a good memory considering I am 83 years old. I have enjoyed a lot of shows at the Gaiety Theatre over the years.
