Stage-Ed and the Department of Education, Sport and Culture are thrilled to announce the upcoming pantomime production Aladdin is set to fly onto the Gaiety Theatre stage this Christmas from Saturday 16th December. 

The creative team at Stage-Ed will be staging Aladdin, an enchanting, traditional family pantomime that has kept audiences spell-bound for generations. Aladdin will be flying into the Gaiety Theatre for a magic carpet ride and a captivating retelling of the beloved classic story. Complete with stunning sets, dazzling costumes and impressive special effects, this is a FESTIVE SPECTACULAR that is not to be missed!

Aladdin will transport audiences on a magic carpet ride through the bustling streets of Peel where they’ll meet a cast of beloved characters including the streetwise Aladdin, Widow Twankey and Wishee Washee. Together, they will embark on a magical adventure and try to defeat the evil Abanazar and his plan to become master of the world!

Will Aladdin save the day, will he marry the beautiful Princess? Will the Genie be freed? 

With toe-tapping musical numbers, plenty of audience participation and of course, a script full of laughs, Aladdin promises to be an excellent, fantastically festive choice for children, families and adults alike! Relaxed performance - Thurs 28th Dec at 2pm 
This performance is open to anyone, although is structured specifically for people with learning disabilities and offers the following:

  • Lights in the auditorium are kept low so it’s not too dark
  • You can make a noise during the show
  • You can come and go as you please
  • If you need a break there are chill-out areas in the foyer/bars
  • Small changes are made to the lights and sound (such as taking out strobe lights and loud pyrotechnics) so that the performance is more accessible if you have sensory sensitivities
  • British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter will be interpreting this show for D/Deaf, deafened and hard-of-hearing patrons
