Update - 12(noon) on Wednesday 8th April 2020

We are very sorry to have to announce that we have been advised by the Minister for the Department of Education, Sport and Culture (DESC) that all scheduled performances and events at VillaGaiety, scheduled up to the end of September 2020 can no longer go ahead as planned. This decision, has not been an easy one, however, it has been made in line with current social distancing guidelines to delay the spread of COVID-19 in the coming months. Due to lead times associated with booking and preparing shows the decision has therefore been made to not schedule any events before 1st October 2020.

Our event bookings, marketing and ticketing teams are working very hard in these unprecedented circumstances, we understand the inconvenience and upset this news will cause for customers. We ask for and appreciate your patience whilst we work through this situation as quickly and efficiently as we can. We will endeavour to find new dates for all our affected events as soon as possible, unless of course the events wish to cancel. Please note events are being prioritised and dealt with in date order.

We are currently liaising with event organisers and trying to rearrange as many events as possible to new dates that are either in the last quarter of 2020 or 2021. Our Box Office team will contact you as soon as they can once it has been established if the event(s) have either been rescheduled or cancelled.

Dr Alex Allinson MHK, Minister for the Department of Education, Sport and Culture said:

'I understand that this announcement will be disappointing for many people and I would like to apologise to everyone affected by these cancellations, including the artists themselves who were keen to perform on our Island. The health and wellbeing of our community has to be out priority at this time.

‘I would like to thank the staff at VillaGaiety for their patience and hard work in booking some headline acts and firmly placing us on the map for all touring groups. I ask for your patience as the team liaise with event organisers and try their best to reschedule as many events as possible to new dates when it is safer for customers to attend our venues.

‘Rest assured, as soon as we can do so safely, we will reopen our venues and warmly welcome back customers and performers to our stages.’

We appreciate your patience whilst we work through this situation. We will of course keep customers updated whenever possible.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT THE LATEST UPDATES ABOUT AFFECTED SHOWS AND EVENTS?
Daily updates are being posted on this page, you can also find out if your event has been postponed or cancelled via our COVID-19 Event Updates.

For safety and security reasons, please note we have also taken the decision to close the Villa Marina grounds (arcade, car park & gardens). As such there will be no public access for vehicles or pedestrians via the Broadway gate or through the gardens until further notice.

We politely request that customers do not contact us regarding refunds or bookings at this time.

Due to the number of enquiries we’ve also set up an FAQs page here designed to answer or help with any questions you might have.

We have also taken the decision to close our box office telephone lines (600555 & 694500), we would therefore politely request that if you have any questions that are not covered in our FAQs page please contact us here, this includes all wheelchair and/or ECS bookings.
Tickets for all our events/shows taking place after 30th September 2020 can still be booked via villagaiety.com

Many thanks for your patience and understanding.

Our community and loyal customers are so important to us and we look forward to brighter times, when we can welcome you all back through our doors for some much needed entertainment!
