Jane McDonald coming to the Isle of Man

Following her smash hit tour of the nation in 2009 one of Britain’s premier entertainers, the incomparable Jane McDonald, is set to visit The The Villa Marina on Friday August 27th.

A brand new show is set to delight local audiences as the much loved singer, and star of hit TV shows ‘Loose Women’ and ‘The Cruise’, takes to the stage complete with her orchestra and singers.

A memorable evening of song, warmth and laughter is again guaranteed.

In the decade or so since Jane first came to public recognition, captivating audiences with her sensational voice and down to earth charm on BBC documentary series ‘The Cruise’ she has blossomed into one of the country’s most popular performers, with her regular spots hosting ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ and guest appearances on such shows as ‘Friday Night with Jonathan Ross’, ‘The Paul O’Grady Show’, ‘Titchmarsh’, ‘The One Show’, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ and many more.

Her latest album ‘Jane’ released towards the end of 2008 enjoyed immediate success, reaching number seven in the album charts.

At the same time, her live concerts are breaking Box Office records across the UK. One show at Blackpool Opera House in 2008 led to three being contracted in 2009. Now with even more planned for 2010 Jane’s position in the Entertainment Mecca’s Hall of Fame is guaranteed and, in April of this year she was formerly acknowledged as one of the resort’s most popular ever performers as her name was added to the prestigious ‘Roll of Honour’ in the foyer of the Winter Gardens.

Indeed, in towns and cities across the country, as shows continue to sell out well in advance, yet more are added to meet the demand. Thus 2010 promises to be the busiest and most exciting yet in a fabulous and glittering career.
